Bottle washing machine cost factors.

A useful bottle washer cost comparison states the bottle mix, process duty, shift pattern and acceptance requirement first. Purchase price alone does not show the cost of sorting, washing, inspection, rework or downtime.

Set a common comparison basis.

Compare candidate routes against the same annual bottle quantity, accepted bottle population, target quality, operating hours and labour assumptions. If one option includes label removal, drying, inspection or conveying and another does not, separate those scope differences before comparing totals.

Simple lifecycle worksheet

  1. Define annual accepted bottles, not only bottles entering the process.
  2. Record operating hours, changeovers and cleaning time.
  3. Measure or obtain quoted utility demand for the exact configuration.
  4. Add labour for every manual touch and inspection.
  5. Add consumables, planned maintenance and disposal.
  6. Apply a realistic reject/breakage assumption from trials or records.
  7. Run sensitivity cases for bottle mix, volume and water/energy price.

Water-reuse questions

  • Which stream is reused and for what duty?
  • What filtration, treatment, monitoring and purge are required?
  • What tank, pump, controls and cleaning scope is added?
  • How is cross-connection with final-rinse water prevented?
  • What happens when reused water is out of condition?
  • Where does the concentrated reject stream go?

Keep unsupported prices out of the specification.

Machine price, installation, lead time and operating cost depend on the confirmed bottle range, process, utilities, layout, controls and acceptance test. A useful first enquiry therefore asks for a scope and assumptions rather than a generic online figure.
