Bottle washing line integration and controls.

A bottle washer should be specified as part of the line: mechanically, electrically, operationally and through the utilities and drainage that support it.

Mechanical interface

Make bottle transfer predictable at every boundary.

Record conveyor height, direction, speed range, belt type, guide width, bottle pitch, accumulation and available straight length at the infeed and outfeed. Use the least stable bottle as a boundary case.

Infeed

Define whether bottles arrive single-file, in trays/crates or manually. Confirm gap creation, back pressure, metering and the response when the washer cannot accept another bottle.

Inside the process

Confirm how the bottle is retained, inverted or presented to nozzles; where water can drain; and which change parts or guides control the bottle family.

Outfeed

Define the release pitch, residual water risk, inspection point, reject route, accumulation and transfer to filling, capping or labelling.

Controls interface

Agree the line states and safe responses.

Test the complete sequence.

At FAT or SAT, include line states rather than only continuous running: start-up, bottle starvation, downstream block, utility alarm, controlled stop, restart, format change and cleaning mode. Record what happens to bottles already inside the washer so that potentially unverified containers cannot continue unnoticed.
